OKM Service Centers are certified hubs operated by our three subsidiaries: OKM Americas, OKM Türkiye and OKM Emirates. These centers provide professional support and repairs for OKM's high quality metal detectors, ground scanners and geophysical equipment. The managers of these subsidiaries have undergone special training to handle a range of repair tasks themselves. This ensures that even without a specialist from OKM Germany, each Service Center is equipped to provide fast and professional solutions – from minor repairs to initial diagnostics for more complex issues.
Expert Maintenance and Repairs through Specialized Training
To ensure that each OKM Service Center can deliver high-quality technical support, the leaders of our subsidiaries – Mark Harris (OKM Americas), Kemal Çelik (OKM Türkiye), and Tristan Geruschke (OKM Emirates) – received specialized training during the OKM Summit in August 2024. The training was conducted by OKM’s Lead Electronic Engineer, and focused on equipping them with a comprehensive set of maintenance and repair skills. The leadership team learned:
- How to safely and carefully open the device without causing damage.
- How to assess the issue and get an overview of what may be broken or malfunctioning.
- Which screws open or hold the device together, ensuring that every component is handled properly.
- Soldering techniques to fix loose or broken connections.
- How to apply adhesive points to stabilize cables or components that have come loose.
Additionally, the leaders were trained to reach out to OKM’s engineers in Altenburg via video calls for expert assistance when needed. If technical issues or repairs require more advanced attention, the device will be sent to Altenburg to be handled by our specialists in the headquarters in Germany.
